BEAUTIFUL CREATURES Deuce Perris Records (Cat No PER1652)
This is the second release from Joe LeStes 'other band' the Beautiful Creatures, the other being Bang Tango, and their first for Perris Records.
The first few opening tracks 'Anyone', 'Freedom' and 'Unforgiven' are big, modern sounding rock songs that are, at times, reminiscent of the Cults last CD.
'Save Me' is one of the many outstanding tracks here, and throughout the album the band is tight and there are plenty of big guitar riffs. There are two great ballads in 'I Still Miss You' and 'Starr Cross', the first of which would fit in nicely on any Bang Tango CD.
Bonus tracks include 3 demo tracks, 'Tear’in Me Up' would have been good to hear as a finished song, and a live version of album track 'Straight to Hell'.

Why should I buy this CD?
|
The Beautiful Creatures have made a great sounding record here that, with its modern elements, should attract a bigger audience.
