AINA Living In A Boy's World MTM Classix (2005)
Vocalist Aina hails from Norway and this re-release adds five bonus
tracks. Vocally Aina is similar to Robin Beck and Fiona, although not quite
as powerful vocally.
The music is your typical late 80's/early 90's production with keys to the fore and crashing guitar chords in the
background. Minus points for the truly corny lyrics on ‘Rocks Off', although
to be fair the number is catchy! There are some good ballads on here like
‘Believe In Me' and for the more rockier moments try ‘Shot Down In Flames'.
Touch of the Jon Lord keys on ‘Pleasure & Pain', in fact this could be what
a female fronted Deep Purple would sound like!
Definitely of interest to fans of female AOR/melodic rock like Fiona, Heart and Robin Beck.
