ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET - The monster has a name
The wait is over. Our Swedish thrashin' Death´n´Rollers ONE MAN ARMY AND THE
UNDEAD QUARTET have announced the winner of the "Name The Monster"-Competition.
Fans from all over the world got the possibility to propose a name for the
monster that is featured on the front covers of both ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD
QUARTET albums, "21st Century Killing Machine" and "Error In Evolution". The
main price is the guitar that singer Johan Lindstrand (ex-THE CROWN) used to
compose most of the songs that were featured on their debut. Here's a statement
directly from the ARMY:
"Hey there! The moment you've all been waiting for is here! We got 450 names to
chose from but there can be only one. The grand price goes to Roberto Ketter,
Santiago, Chile. He has chosen the name "General Grim" for us. That's a heavy
name that definitely fits the whole concept. Thank you very much Roberto. You
will get the BIG guitar package sent to you within the next days.

BORN FROM PAIN - More anniversaries to come?
10 YEARS IN 5 DAYS...
Holy Sh*t! Our anniversary sold out in 5 days! We are very happy that we have
been able to sell out De Nieuwe Nor in such a quick time. We are happy that we
are celebrating this in our hometown of Heerlen in front of a packed house. I am
sure that everyone who has been able to get his/her hands on a ticket will have
a great time with the bands on the bill.
We did our best to present you the best
line-up possible and do something special for this occasion. I think we
succeeded. Besides the special fact that this show marks a decade of BORN FROM
PAIN, sees the exclusive return of our friends in DRIFT and CRAWLSPACE and the
appearance of our bro's in SUPERIOR and TERROR, this show will go down in
history as Che's last show with us, so I am sure this will be one to remember!
Like we already announced; expect a set list of (a lot of) old and new stuff.
Also, we will be filming the show for a possible future DVD release, so get
fu*king mental!
EXTRA ANNIVERSARY SHOW?
Now, there might be a couple of tickets freeing up in the pre-sale process for
the Anniversary show on the 29th of June, but it looks like that might only a
few. Soooo,...due to the fact that we have received an enormous requests for
tickets after our Anniversary show sold out, we are planning on possibly adding
a second one on the day before, the 28th of June.
We have CRAWLSPACE already confirmed
for this possible occasion, still working on completing another cool line-up for
the Thursday. Soooo... we need everyone who wants to appear at a possible

NEAERA - Studio Update
How's it going people?!
Just a quick update here on how things are going in the studio. We spent the
last week laying down the drum tracks, rhythm guitars and bass tracks for the
upcoming record. Right now Benny is at the Rape of Harmonies studio to record
the vocals, and so far it sounds like the result is going to be pretty brutal.
As soon as news unfold we are of course going to update you immediately.

SINCE THE FLOOD in search of new singer
Whats up everybody?
In case anyone has heard any rumors, STF is looking for a singer for our
upcoming tour with THE WARRIORS and FIRST BLOOD. Chuck has decided that the
touring life is not for him. We love him and wish him the best, and STF will
never be quite the same without him.
In the meantime, we're not quite ready to hang it up, as we have a great label,
booking agent, and some serious tours scheduled. With that all said, you all
know what we sound like and anyone who has seen us live knows that we demand an
energetic pressence on stage. If you feel like you can fill Chuck's massive
shoes, we'd like to hear from you.
Here's the deal;
-We'll be home June 3rd and or 4th to
hold auditions in Western MA. If you want to try out, you'll have to make your
way there on your own or come up with some way to try out another way.
-You'll have to prepare two songs, "Valor
and Vengeance" and "Gone Tomorrow" and have them down perfectly.
-You know what Chuck sounds like. Don't
bother if you sound like Lord Worm.
-We leave for tour no later than the
7th of June and will be back no sooner than July 17th. Things are still up in
the air and the tour will more than likely get extended as far as August. You
have to be available for this time period plus almost endless touring in the
future.
-We're all easy going and hardworking.
We expect the same from you.
-We'll make exceptions to any of these
rules if you're the right guy for the job. Just email us.

PARADISE LOST - PARADISE LOST CONFIRMED FOR DOWNLOAD
As a result of the phenomenal response to Paradise Lost's 'return to form' new
album 'In Requiem' we can now confirm that the band have been added to this
years Download bill. Vocalist Nick Holmes comments 'After the great response we
had 2 years ago it's fantastic to have the opportunity to play such a
prestigious festival again and be able to showcase some of our new album there"

Biomechanical set to mix 'Cannibalised' with Chris Tsangarides
Epic Progressive Metallers Biomechanical are scheduled to begin the mixing
process of their new album 'Cannibalised' with legendary producer Chris
Tsangarides (Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy) on the 18th of June. The
band will enter the Ecology Rooms in Kent, England to begin work on the brand
new epic slated for a September 17th release date.
Front man, John had the following to say on the collaboration:
'This is the second time we will be working with the legendary Chris Tsangarides!
We have had several discussions about the direction of the sound and I feel that
he is the one to create the sound I have in my head as a producer. Also even
though Chris is very much a modern producer he can bring old school
sensibilities on the sound front and this excites the hell out of me!! I
honestly can't wait to get started!
To get to Cannibalised we looked back to our previews albums and made sure that
the Biomechanical sound wouldn't evaporate on a firewall of heaviness.
Cannibalised is heavier than our other albums but at the same time melodic and
does incorporate the film scoring orchestral type of work that defines the sound
of our band'.

Cult of Luna prepare for Download Festival
Swedish epic art-rock crushers Cult of Luna will descend upon Download on Sunday
(10th June) evening to play their debut set at the famous festival.
Download is the first UK festival Cult of Luna have played, and they
are looking forward to engaging the crowd on the Tuborg stage with their special
brand of light and shade sonic Musings.
Guitarist Johannes Persson enthuses:
"The last UK tour was a blast and the
reception we got was amazing so getting back to do our first UK festival was not
a hard decision...."
Since the release of Cult of Luna's
last album 'Somewhere Along the Highway' the band have been touring Europe
incessantly to rave reviews and crowd reactions.
Expect the set to include the likes of
'Leave Me Here' and 'Dark City, Dead Man (among others) as the sun sets on
Donington on Sunday night.
The band will not be accompanied by Erik Olofsson at Download, but as Johannes
states, with "6-8 members - you never know who shows up!"..." we have enough
guitarists as it is...haha."

Fast rising crossover thrashers Municipal Waste have made a special digital
download EP available via iTunes in advance of the release of their forthcoming
album 'The Art of Partying'.

KATAKLYSM singer Maurizio Iacono offers an update on future activities:
"First off, I want to sincerely thank everyone involved with The Invaluable
Darkness Tour we just completed with our friends DIMMU. We would like to thank
them for treating us like brothers and to all their crew for helping us out when
we needed it. This new friendship is forged in blood! Thanks also to Devildriver
whom we shared a bus with and developed a new friendship. Last but not least,
the dudes in Unearth, all cool people.
This tour was a triumph for us in all
senses, especially to be able to play for our fans on a bigger package, who
proved to us everyday that all the blood and sweat wasn't for nothing.
The words of encouragement from our
fans mean EVERYTHING. We're gonna finish writing a new album, titled Prevail,
this summer, because we know how important this one will be for our fans, and
"prevail" is exactly what we want to do with this album. It has to be as perfect
as we can make it.
If it doesn't bring the goosebumps, it
ain't coming out right. Guitarist J-F Dagenais will produce and engineer the
album as always. The album will be mixed by another producer which we will
announce shortly, the album is scheduled for an April 2008 release. In the
meantime, we have two more tours planned this year: late summer or early fall in
North America and in Europe in October with Behemoth and Aborted. A big 'thank

AMORPHIS - European tour in November
On occasion of the release of their marvellous new album "Silent Waters" (in
stores: August 31st 2007), AMORPHIS will embark on a European tour in November
to present the new songs live on stage!
The first leg of the "Silent Waters" European Tour will take AMORPHIS to
Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Norway and Sweden before the band
returns to Finland for a concert at Nosturi in Helsinki. The first of the all in
all 16 shows will be in Hanover, Germany, on November 13th.

EVILE Finish Recording Album; Enter Mixing Stage
According to EVILE's official MySpace Blog, they have completed the recording
process for their upcoming album, 'Enter The Grave' and are currently in the
mixing stage.
Along with a myriad of photos from their recording sessions with Flemming
Rasmussen (METALLICA, MORBID ANGEL), EVILE's 3rd and final recording update
included a message for their fans:
'We're now in the mixing process of the album. All parts are now recorded to the

AS I LAY DYING - Album update & last minute show
First of all - here is the info for a last minute headlining show that will be
at... Sunday June 10 - Barfly @ The Gloucester in Brighton, UK.
AS I LAY DYING has set "An Ocean Between Us" as the title of its
highly-anticipated follow up to 2005's "Shadows Are Security". The majority of
"An Ocean Between Us" was recorded at vocalist Tim Lambesis' home studio, aptly
named Lambesis Studio, in San Diego, California. Adam Dutkiewicz (UNDEROATH, ALL
THAT REMAINS, THE ACACIA STRAIN) of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE collaborated with AS I LAY
DYING on all recording and production duties. Songtitles set to appear on the CD
include "Separation", "Nothing Left", "Within Destruction" and title track, "An
Ocean Between Us".
AS I LAY DYING recently officially announced the addition of bassist Josh
Gilbert to the group's ranks. Josh joins the band from THIS ENDEARING, a local
group in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. "Based on hearing Josh's previous
band, we knew he was a great bass player and singer," says Lambesis. "But when
he came out to San Diego to try out and rehearse with us, he ended up exceeding
our expectations. Shortly after the try out we invited him to come back and fill
in for us on our January U.K. tour. That tour really solidified the fact that
Josh is the right guy for us."

CELLADOR announces new drummer
We are happy to say to all of you that after many auditions we are finally able
to announce that we have found a drummer!
The responses to our drummer search were quite overwhelming. It seems word
really got out this time around, as we had many more responses than we even did
for a bassist. Over the last 2 months we've had some amazingly respectable
drummers approach us from all over the world, offering to do everything from
relocating from overseas to recording our entire first album via video as an
audition clip. We want to thank all those who contacted us and/or sent audition
clips, and to let them know that we watched, read, and listened to EVERY
response with respect for each player.
Luckily for us the answer to our drummer search was not from across the world,
but right here in our very own hometown. Its with great pleasure that we
announce the addition of local Omaha madman Rick Halverson to CELLADOR's ranks
as the new drummer.
We've known Rick for quite sometime from Omaha's metal scene
and his other band NARCOTIC SELF, as well as his time playing with RATT's
Stephen Pearcy. He originally offered to fill in for us until we found a
permanent player but then later offered to join the band, which we couldn't
refuse.

and a while and it just seemed like a no-brainer decision for me to join the

Centre in Colchester, UK on Tuesday, June 12th.

DESASTER - Update
"Satan's Soldiers Syndicate"... the whole album was recorded from May 17th
through May 20th at Harrows Studio (Lossar, NL). The following weekend we worked
on the vocals some more. Altogether it's nine new songs and one old one (which
will be included as a bonus track on the vinyl version) on the album. In late
June / early July studio owner Harry (who's responsible for masterworks by
ASPHYX, SOULBURN, PENTACLE, MELECHESH, etc.) and Marc will mix the album. Don't
expect innovation or radical changes of style! DESASTER is and always will be a
guarantee for "pure fukkin' riff metal"... dark, heavy and full of blasphemy!

LAY DOWN ROTTEN - New guitar player / album update
After over seven years, founding member Daniel "Minni" Benner is leaving LAY
DOWN ROTTEN. Here's a brief statement from Minni:
"The reason for my departure is exclusively musical differences when writing the
new songs - no personal issues. I just found that musically it wasn't what I
wanted. Thanks to all who have supported me and I wish my successor Nils and the
whole band all the best. Keep on rotting!"
However, Minni still can be heard on four songs on the new album. All other
tracks will be recorded by new lead guitarist Nils Förster (WHEN SORROW ENDS).
Nils has been a friend for a long time and has already done various jobs
regarding engineering and keyboards (on "Breeding Insanity") for the band. The
collaboration is working out flawlessly and we will play all coming festivals
(Queens of Metal, Zabbaduschder, Ragnarock and Party-San, among others) with him
right after we finish the studio work.
Studio:
The recordings for the upcoming "Reconquering The Pit" album are under way.
Drums and guitars are done, and there should be a first rough mix ready within
the next couple of weeks. Once again, Björn Goosse from Killustrations is doing
the artwork, as on the predecessor "Breeding Insanity", and he's also working
hard already.

New ENTOMBED track online
The title track from Swedish metallers ENTOMBED's upcoming "Serpent Saints - The
Ten Amendments", has been posted on the Candlelight Records USA MySpace page.
Due in the U.S. on 31st July 2007 and Europe on 25th June via a special
arrangement with Threeman Recordings, the 10-song effort marks the group's first
release with drummer Olle Dahlstedt (Alpha Safari, ex-Misery Loves Co.), who
replaced Peter Stjärnvind in 2006. Mastering duties were handled by Soren
Elofsson at Cosmos Mastering in Stockholm, Sweden.

"On A Dark Winter´s Night" continues…The Gothic-Metal-Festival "On A Dark

TAPPING THE VEIN - Mixing new album
TAPPING THE VEIN will be mixing their upcoming release, for Nuclear Blast, with
Neil Kernon, at RaxTrax in Chicago, Il. starting July 14th 2007. "We're very
excited to be working with Neil on this. Time and time again, on tour, we were
told we sound much better live. I'd have to agree the band is heavier and more
powerful live.
I think we were able to capture that this time around with Neil."
says drummer Eric Fisher. "TTV took a new approach to the writing of this album
and I am really pleased with the result. I think we've managed to streamline and
"pump it up", so to speak, without sacrificing any of the emotional impact that
we insist on." Adds Heather. Look for a 4th quarter 2007 release worldwide. The
band and management are currently looking for touring and packaging ideas for

DEATHSTARS - Win Golden God award + new video online
Swedish DEATHSTARS again have blown their competition clean out of the water and
walked away from the Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards with the award for "Best
Newcomer". Whiplasher and Skinny attended the awards ceremony in London last
Monday, June 11th, to collect the prize. A huge 'thank you' to all of the fans
who voted for DEATHSTARS!

NILE - Drummer to attend Texas club (Athens)
NILE drummer George Kollias will be attending the Greek 'Blasting Your Ears'
club event, as a special guest, this Saturday night. The event is held by
Nuclear Blast Records and will take place at the Texas Club (56 Ippokratous Str,
Athens) at the upper hall. Fans of the band will be able to meet the prolific
drummer and get autographs!
NILE's latest album, 'Ithyphallic', will be released on July 23 in Europe and
July 17 in the U.S. through Nuclear Blast Records. An e-card of the album is

NILE have been confirmed as one of the second-stage bands at this years Ozzfest
alongside HATEBREED, BEHEMOTH, MONDO GENERATOR, ANKLA, CIRCUS DIABLO and the

EVILE Set US Release Date For 'Enter The Grave'
EVILE, who had previously announced a UK release date of August 27 for their
debut album, 'Enter the Grave' will be issuing it in the US on September 25.
Produced by Flemming Rasmussen (METALLICA, MORBID ANGEL), 'Enter The Grave'
promises to carry the tradition of thrash in a whole new way. EVILE vocalist,
Matt Drake describes what it was like to record with Rasmussen (most people
wouldn't realize that Flemming Rasmussen's quite the chef, as well) in a brand
new interview with Metal Hammer.
EVILE is also featured in the current
(July 2007) issue of Metal Hammer magazine as part of their THRASH special. This
stacked special issue includes a THRASH sampler CD featuring a track by EVILE.

Earache To Release BRING ME THE HORIZON Debut In USA
Earache Records Inc, is pleased to announce the conclusion of a North American
licensing deal of a British band that is not afraid to go beyond the
expectations of a modern extreme metal act. Then again, this is no ordinary
modern metal act. This is Bring Me The Horizon.
In the seemingly short span of 3 years since their formation, Bring Me The
Horizon has accomplished more in that time than most bands do in 10. In 2006,
Bring Me The Horizon was the recipient of a KERRANG! Award for 'Best British
Newcomer' and held steady on MySpace's top 100 list of most played bands,
currently boasting a playcount of 4.2 Million plays. Bring Me The Horizon were
only 1 of 2 UK acts to chart in the MySpace top 100 (the other being Coldplay).
In addition, they've toured with bands such as Bleeding Through and Killswitch
Engage and performed a show-stealing set at the UK's Download Festival.
Garnering much attention and acclaim for their UK and online exploits, Bring Me
The Horizon is now ready to make waves stateside with their debut album, 'Count
Your Blessings' being released on August 14th on Earache. Known for their
