UNEARTH update / new album / 3-DVD-set
2007 was another killer year for all things UNEARTH as we toured North America
with metal legends SLAYER. We headlined tours in Europe, Australia and New
Zealand for the first time, played the biggest European festivals of our career,
brought our metal to the awesome state of Alaska for its live debut and finished
off the year with a packed-out headlining North American tour.
2008 is already shaping up to be even better than '07 with first time trips to
Mexico and South America in January and February, respectively, the release of
our three-disc DVD with a live concert disc and a full documentary DVD spanning
our entire career (coming March 20, 2008).
UNEARTH's three-disc DVD set will feature the band's October 9, 2007 concert at
the Glass House in Pomona, California along with other live performances shot
throughout the band's nine-year career, as well as interviews, behind-the-scenes
footage and other random happenings throughout the years. The third disc will be
the CD of the full live show on DVD 1.

HAIL OF BULLETS is the new band

THE ARCANE ORDER post new song online
Go to our homepage and check out "Eruptions of Red" - a slower and more epic
sounding song from the new THE ARCANE ORDER album "In the Wake of Collisions" to
be released the 11th of January (D/A/CH/I) / 14th of January (rest of Europe).
Commented the group: "The song shows a different side to THE ARCANE ORDER than
you heard on 'The Serpent Tower'. We chose to present this song to you to show
you the other side of what 'In the Wake of Collisions' is all about. "'Eruptions
of Red' is track number 4 on the new album and is a slower and very epic
sounding piece of metal. On this track you can really hear how Kasper's voice
has evolved immensly and Morten's drum playing is really exceptional as well."
The CD was recorded at Hansen studio in Ribe, Denmark and is "not the natural
follow-up to 'The Machinery of Oblivion' [2006]," according to Lund. "We always
said we weren't interest in just making a new 'Machinery...' album, and we think
the new album proves just that. We have evolved as a team, as a band, and you
will be able to hear so on the new album. We think it's fair to say that we have
found our own sound with the new album. You need to listen to the whole album,
all the songs in a row, to understand what the new stuff is all about.

HATE ETERNAL album artwork revealed
The cover artwork for HATE ETERNAL's new album, "Fury & Flames", has been
revealed. The artwork was done by Paul Romano, who has previously worked with
Mastodon, Animosity and The Red Chord. The follow-up to 2005's "I, Monarch" is
the band's most diverse and emotionally fuelled record to date, due mainly in
part to the passing of bassist and good friend Jared Anderson. HATE ETERNAL
founder and vocalist/guitarist Erik Rutan recently did an interview with MTV.com
where he stated, "Jared was one of my best friends, and his passing away really
affected me and influenced this record a lot. It's a very dark and heavy record
— not just heavy as in 'heavy metal,' but heavy-hearted as well."
"Fury & Flames' features new members Shaune Kelley on second guitar and Jade
Simonetto on drums. The addition of Shaune means that this will be the first
time HATE ETERNAL will be able to perform as a four-piece live. Alex Webster of
Cannibal Corpse fame stepped in on bass for the recording, but due to his hectic
schedule with Cannibal Corpse will not be able to tour with the band.

album, we will play our only festival of the year.

summer is the Party.San Open Air in Bad Berka, Germany on 7-9th August. Tickets
are only 39.60 Euros, including parking and camping, and the festival is capped
at only 10,000 visitors, so considering this and the already killer line-up, it
looks like it will sell out in advance. So, we suggest that people who want to
buy tickets on the day, should check the availability before they set off, to
avoid the disappointment a lot of people had at last year's sold-out Summer
Breeze Festival, where they got turned away.

THRESHOLD - Confirmed for festivals
UK progsters THRESHOLD will headline the Minnuendo Fest in Peralta, Spain on 19
July.
THRESHOLD will also headline the last day of ProgPower Europe 2008 on 5 October
with a full two-hour-show. THRESHOLD have headlined the very first ProgPower
festival ten years ago in Holland, so it will be a special anniversary return
for the band.
The band recently announced their first ever Serbia show at this year's Legacy
Festival in Belgrade on 30 May on a bill which includes RAGE and TESTAMENT.
HYPOCRISY - "Catch 22" new version
Swedish extreme metallers HYPOCRISY are currently remixing their album "Catch
22" andhave issued the following update about it:
"As you've probably heard, we're remixing and redoing the vocals on 'Catch 22'
(originally issued in 2002) and re-releasing it. Why?! Because we still think it
is a great fu*king album but it got slammed and misunderstood because of the
vocal style and the drum sound and so on.
"Everybody in HYPOCRISY is sitting home and writing for the next album right now

NIGHTWISH - Certified GOLD in Germany
Finnish Symphonic Metal kings NIGHTWISH have received a Gold award for 100.000
sold copies of their newest album "Dark Passion Play" in Germany, within one
week after its release end of September! The handoff of the award took place at
the "On A Dark Winter´s Night"-Festival in Oberhausen, where NIGHTWISH played a
phenomenal gig in front of 6000 fans seriously going crazy!
"Dark Passion Play" entered the German album charts on #1, just as it´s
predecessor "Once" from 2004. Other awards in the long list are triple platinum

Polish Death Metal machine BEHEMOTH has inked a deal with NUCLEAR BLAST for

CHIMAIRA - ESP announces signature series guitars
Two new Signature Series models are being introduced from the guitarists of
CHIMAIRA, their first ones for ESP. Guitarist Rob Arnold's signature model, the
LTD RA-600, offers a Floyd Rose bridge and a single EMG 81 pickup in a light
alder body. The LTD MFA-600 is the signature model from Matt DeVries, based on
his own customized ESP Viper model.

UK progressive metallers THRESHOLD were honored in the categories Best Singer,
Best Drummer and Best Album Track at the Classic Rock Society awards in the UK.

Drummer-award for the second consecutive year. Damian Wilson won the Best
Vocalist-award after returning to the band for last year's tour. The Best Album
Track-award was won by Richard West's song Pilot in the sky of dreams from

Following the release of the critically-acclaimed Fear of a Blank Planet album
and the success of their 2007 North American tour comes Porcupine Tree's latest
offering 'Nil Recurring'. The mini-album (29 minutes of music) was written
during the 'Fear Of A Blank Planet' sessions, completed over the Summer of 2007,
and is now presented as a cohesive, self-contained Porcupine Tree work in its
own right, set for general release on February 18th, 2008 on Peaceville Records.
The title track features Robert Fripp on lead guitar, and the album moves
through the full Porcupine Tree spectrum of atmospheric ambience, melodic hooks,
and crushing riffs.Packaged in deluxe Super Jewel case in textured slipcase.
Porcupine Tree is regarded as one of the most impressive
experimental/progressive/psychedelic rock bands to emerge from the UK since
their inception in 1991, having enjoyed a successful recording career spanning
over 15 years.
Frontman Steven Wilson is also known for his recent work with Aviv Geffen as
Blackfield and for hisproduction and musical contributions on the Opeth albums 'BlackwaterPark',
'Deliverance' and 'Damnation'.

Picking up where the cover for EXTINGUISH THE WEAK left off, BONDED BY BLOOD's
mascot, Brutus faces off with the devil on the cover of the band's EARACHE
debut, FEED THE BEAST.
With its dynamic comic book-style artwork, FEED THE BEAST's cover conveys not
only the sense of danger and electricity that is personified in the music, but a
deeper meaning is conveyed as well. "The artwork represents my whole view on Los
Angeles. It takes you in and spits you back out," says vocalist, Jose "Aladdin"
Barrales. "LA is like a beast, if you don't do the right "thing" you will end up
on the streets. I think Tom, the artist, took my interpretation and made it come

BRAIN'
Recent Earache singings Gama Bomb are preparing to enter the studio to record
their debut full length 'Citizen Brain', with producer Scott Atkins at the helm.
The band recently made performed to a packed house at the Earache Christmas
party in London on December 12th, airing new material from the forthcoming
record.
Commenting on the upcoming, vocalist Philly states:
?When we're not nursing hangovers, we're mega-excited to get to work on ?Citizen
Brain?. We've been bashing the songs into shape for months, and they're now
ready to really blow some heads up! We're pretty confident that we're about to
make a record that's going to win converts. It's going to change people's minds,
make them throw out the dross they've been tolerating for the last 15 years and
really start thrashing out like big boys again.?We'll be sure to pack our
thermals, a few cases of special brew and an industrial-sized drum of beans for

experimental metallers Ephel Duath and will be working on the upcoming album
"Through My Dog's Eyes".
Minnemann is recognized as one of

A recently unearthed live show from seminal Swedish Death Metallers At the Gates
will form part of a limited edition version of their classic 1995 album
'Slaughter of the Soul', to be released on March 10 in Europe and March 25 in

Issued as a 2 disc set containing the original album, 6 bonus songs and the 35
minute 'The Making of Slaughter of the Soul' documentary, the release now boasts
a full live set filmed live in Krakow, Poland 30th December 1995, when the band
toured with Unleashed.

Canadian's finest, BLESSED BY A BROKEN HEART, are invading Europe in January and
early February for their first full European tour with Azriel after playing a
sold-out UK only tour with Enter Shikari in 2006.
The group's unique, infectious brand of '80s madness is undeniable, and they
deliver a plethora of balls-out, party rock anthems that are so catchy and
infectious, they will soon be your new guilty pleasure. This Montreal-based
six-piece have put the pedal to the metal and will storm over the Atlantic to
steal all our booze and women while having the times of their lives.
Their sophomore, appropriately entitled album 'Pedal To The Metal' is scheduled
for a release in the spring 2008. The effort was recorded by GGGarth (Red Hot
Chili Peppers, Kiss, Motley Crue, Rise Against, Atreyu, Biffy Clyro, Nickelback,
Rage Against The Machine, Testament) and mixed by Mike Hatalak from It Dies
Today who also worked with Roses are Red and Dead Hearts. Make no mistake, this
is fun people making music with only one intention in mind: to have a damn good
time.
