February 1997 saw the very first releases from Angel Air Records a specialist independent UK based Record Label created to bring to the market rock and pop music from artists from the 60's, 70's,80's ,90's and 21st century on CD only. From its country offices in Suffolk, England
Angel Air Audio product has two distinct areas of focus:
1. Re-issues of historical classic albums, always with the artist having input and providing photographs, memorabilia etc, bonus tracks and remastering.
2. Issues of never before available product by familiar artists or release by artists who may not be too well known but whose music is compatible with the overall quality of Angel Air releases. All releases are picture discs, shrink wrapped, and clear CD cases, authorative and informative colour CD booklets-anything from 8 page to 24 pages.

Angel Air is committed to supplying a wide range of distinctive, in demand music on CD. Having released approx 130 titles during their first five years of operation they plan to release approx 30 titles during the next 12 months including Overend Watts ,Ian Hunter and Mick Ralphs, Sailor, Bearded Lady and Gillan to name a few!
What makes Angel Air distinctive from many other independent labels is that in the majority of cases the music is provided by the artist or band members with remastering in their capable hands. The artist overseas his own artwork, proof reads sleeve notes, supplies photos from their own personal photo album and works with the label on each release. The 150th release from Angel Air takes place during July 2003 Jaguar 'Run Ragged' - an excellent new album from the NWOBHM band.
The next logical step in the continued growth of the label was the formation during the autumn of 2002 of the Angel Air Waves imprint created specifically to release product of a similar type but on DVD. By the end of 2003 around 15 DVD titles will have been released including Culture Club, Colosseum, Sailor, Oliver Dawson Saxon, Ian Gillan Band, Troggs and Go West. It is planned to release a similar number during 2004.
As with the Audio releases the DVD product in most cases, has band history, rare unseen photos, interviews with band members as extra features on the DVD’s themselves. Like the Audio releases the band members are encouraged to be involved at the studio with mixing and authoring their own releases.
In conclusion the 'Angel Air Crew' now works with over 100 artists and our reputation amongst musicians grows daily by “word of mouth”. We have no shortage of product being offered to us at any one time and currently we have all titles planned for release right up to January 2004.
