LIFE OF AGONY River Runs Again Live DVD
(SPV 2003)

Born performers impress on 18-track DVD...

The first time I've ever listened to Life Of Agony was a couple of weeks ago when I had to make a review for their double CD "RIVER RUNS AGAIN: LIVE 2003". I've said it a thousand times: In the studio you can perform miracles - on stage is where you have to prove your worth, and Life Of Agony made me believe that they are born to perform.

When I realised that I also had to make a review for their DVD "RIVER RUNS AGAIN:LIVE 2003 my feelings were mixed. What if my original impression of the band was wrong? It only took 10 minutes to realise that any doubts I may have had were no longer justified! The band's stage performance is amazing! Keith Caputo is a born Frontman. His performance in songs like "Weeds" and "Heroin Dreams" brought chills to my body. There is also a very emotional moment between him and Joey Z (Guitarist-his 1st cousin) while performing "How it would be" - a song dedicated to his dead mother. Alan Rober (Bass Guitar) and Sal Abruscato (Drums) also gave their very best. Sal provided the solid drumming that songs like "River Runs Red" need, Alan's energy passed on to the rest of the band and the crowd went bananas!!!!

I loved every moment of this 18 track DVD and can't wait to see them live on the 9th of November in the Astoria. Apart from the concert in New York this DVD also contain Interviews with all the members of the band, Photo Gallery, a band Bio, a discography and a Credit section. I know that all the supporters of the band will buy this DVD. For all the rest: Give them a chance and they will win you over as they won me.
