HERMAN FRANK Loyal To None Metal Heaven (2009)
So, who is "Herman Frank"? Yes, he is an axe-wielder and a serious pioneer of the German metal scene, but not only that; he also produces great metal acts such as 'Saxon', 'Rose Tattoo' and 'Molly Hatchet' to name but a few. And now he is going solo....
It's been a dream of Frank for many years to release his own material, I am so glad he did!
This album is a rarity - one of those albums that you listen to once, and you end up hooked and gleefully brimming with sheer rock goodness. The album starts with "Moon II" which is aggressive, sharp and eloquently written and the brilliance continues throughout the album, yet calms in places for the slower tracks such as "Kill The Thing", mind you when I say slow, I do not in any way mean a ballad, I mean that it is slower metal, or hard rock for all you genre makers out there.
Fast precise guitars, fast diverse drumming skills and Herman's' sublime vocals to polish it all off like a million pound pink diamond. I seriously can not wait to hear this live in all its glory!
Producing such great metal acts can only give you ideas and a high experience of what decent music is all about and Herman has most definitely captured what we want - and that is decent ruddy METAL!
Buy it, play it, love it and spread the word - Herman is here!
