Albums of the Month
|
LAURENCE JONES The Truth
(Top Stop Music)
"‘The Truth’ aims for the centre ground, but it’s actually a slow burner
with substance ... With the benefit of a couple of tours this album might just
provide a significant step-up to the next level for a young artist with an eye
on the mainstream." (Pete Feenstra) |
|
|
BLACKBERRY SMOKE Find A
Light (Earache)
"Their material presents a welcome shifting target right across
the country/rock spectrum. With this album they have pushed the
boundaries further and found some sweet spots arguably better
than their previous best." (Dave Atkinson) |
|
|
BURN Ice
Age (Melodic Rock)
"...there isn’t one filler song to be found on
the album, a rarity on most modern albums that often
have 3 or 4 stellar songs, then lots of ‘meh’
tunes...Burn have done it again delivering an album
chock full of enjoyable melodic hard rock." (Jason
Ritchie) |
|
|
FM Atomic Generation
(Frontiers)
"...another top album from the undoubted British standard bearers of melodic
rock" (Andy Nathan) |
|
|
PHIL LANZON If You Think
I'm Crazy (Cargo Records)
"Phil Lanzon has created an album that will appeal to those who enjoy
melodic rock, pomp rock and songs with an emphasis on melody.‘" (Jason
Ritchie) |
