THE STEVE GRIMM BAND History Of A Bad Boy Avenue Of Allies (2009)

Steve Grimm Band

Having released more than 13 albums in a career spanning 4 decades, singer/guitarist Steve Grimm is about to release 'History Of A Bad Boy'. This anthology includes all 21 songs he recorded with The Steve Grimm Band between 1989 and 1995. Having been out of print for some years, and 11 of the tracks never having been released on CD, they have now been digitally re-mastered and packaged with the original artwork in a collector's booklet.

Having been a founding member of Bad Boy since the '70's it was in the late 1980's that Grimm put together The Steve Grimm Band. Their first EP, 'Prisoner Of Passion', was released in 1989 and featured 7 tracks of catchy songs with slick '80's production- check out 'She's Ready', 'Hurt So Much' and 'Ready To Rock'. The follow up to this was 1992's 'Turn The Key ' EP- 4 more tracks of big choruses and solid songs, listen to 'Turn The Key' and 'Vacant Eyes'.

We then move forward to 1995's 'Heaven's In Your Heart' album, this was a less polished and more melodic record and is included here in its entirety. The highlights amongst these tracks include 'Be Somebody', 'Flames', 'You Can Believe' and title track 'Heaven's In Your Heart'.

Fans of bands like Cheap Trick, Survivor, Night Ranger etc, will all find something they will like on 'History Of A Bad Boy'. The album does a great job of showcasing the talents of Grimm who is still playing with Bad Boy and his cover band Pretty Grimm.
