SHANNON Angel In Disguise
Artist Service/Music Buy Mail (2008)

Shannon

French based melodic hard rockers Shannon get a full debut release following their rather good self-released EP. In fact the opening song 'Do You Know?' comes from that EP and hits you like right between the ears!

Great riffing hard rock reminiscent of Dokken and Danger Danger. The next couple of songs 'Hungry For Love' and 'No M ore Lies' are good but they both use similar guitar riffs.

'Keep On Rolling' is another catchy rocker and again has some guitar hooks that other bands would love to have. Only one ballad in the whole album, 'On And On' and sadly the band don't quite nail this one. It just lacks that final glossy sheen to the sound and a bit more passion in the vocals.

'Long Gone' and 'Winter Night' see the melodic rock button hit to max and this is what the band do best. Yes it is very 80's in style but Shannon do have some great choruses and riffs to pull this off.

An essential album for all lovers of melodic hard rock and with the reactivated Dokken back at their best how about hooking them up with this lot for a cracking double bill of melodic hard rock?

Don't let this one pass you by, grab a copy ASAP!
