There are so many bands there now vying for your attention and sadly Stone Lake are 'close but no cigar'.
The vocalist Peter Grundstrom has a powerful voice but he apes Rob Halford a little too much for my liking and although the keyboards are high in the mix they band lack any real killer tunes.
That said the ballad 'Words Are Not Enough' is a stand out featuring an impassioned vocal and grandiose backing.
Otherwise I am afraid it is very average but if you like Euro power metal give it a go as the band certainly can play and, production wise, it is of a high standard.
