MICHAEL SADLER Clear Prog Rock Records (2006)

First full solo album from the prog rock/metal band Saga frontman (or second if you include his 1998 online only release), this should appeal to Saga fans but is very different angle.

Here Sadler takes on keyboards and vocals, and it's a very technical sound, in places sounding almost programmed, while there modern prog undertones are still there.

Consequently there's a very mid 80s pop/rock feel to this album. 'Who's Fooling Who' features a good vocal performance, and the drums sound less programmed than on the opener. There's also a similar feel to Planet P Project.

Interesting, intriguing, but not quite Saga.
