TERRAROSA ‘Terrarosa’ Z Records 04970111(2004)

Terrarosa is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist, programmer and producer Ed Terry, who has a long long list of session, writing and production credits to his name as well being a solo performer.

This new album is largely hard rock at the soft end, with some AOR leanings. Opener 'Real World' is a little funky, and rather disjointed too.

'Something In The Air' is smoother and has an acoustic nod, and there’s a definite session styled Bon Jovi feel to much of the set.

The main problem when one man does all is that no matter how good the songwriting, you lose the band feel and depth, and the programmed drums are offputting too.

Technically good, in places very enjoyable, but in others it just doesn’t work.

**½
