SHARK FRENZY ‘Volume 2 1980/81 Confessions Of A Teenage Lycanthrope’ Lemon CDLEM44(2004)

Another previously unreleased gem that will no doubt please Bon Jovi fans; this set features a pre-BJ guitarist Ritchie Sambora. But don't go getting too excited. The music is a little too weak, aimless and directionless in places, with a hint of the 60s and The Animals if anything else.

The guitar does stick out at times, but with a second guitar in place there's a little too much strumming for Sambora to really shine. 'Till The Walls Come Down' is a strong standout with a little more intensity and a touch of the Rolling Stones.

The sleevenotes feature an interview with the band too, it's good if not outstanding. Essential for BJ fans at least.
