SEACHANGE On Fire With Love
A Is For Artist A4A01 (2006)

The band’s second album, first on their own label and 2 years in the making. Strong energetic guitar led rock/pop. Imagine Green Day without the punk! There’s influences of MSP in there too. Twin guitar over some U2 like rhythms and thankfully without the U2 self righteousness.

There’s some good tunes here, some good riffs, let down on 1 or 2 occasions by trying to make something out of being out of tune.

If some of these young bands could solo as well as they riff they could go a long long way.

The keyboard work here, esp on track 3, adds a slight gothic prog edge.

Not quite enough for the rock fan but the pop fan who likes guitar will love this.

***** Out of this world | **** Pretty damn fine |
*** OK, approach with caution unless you are a fan |
** Instant bargain bin fodder | * Ugly. Just ugly
