THE RAMONES ‘We're Outta Here’
Eagle EREDV257 (2004)

The Ramones last concert; August 6 1996. Featured here pretty much in full, too. One of the original punk rock bands (1974) who influenced a legion. High speed rock’n’roll that even Motorhead’s Lemmy paid tribute to.

The full concert features snippets of most of the band’s greats, interspersed with interviews and older shots.

The complete works, even if it would have run more smoothly if the concert had been left whole and the snippets and interviews kept separate. But the interviews and vintage shots are interesting and, if you’re a fan, gripping and essential.

'Blitzkrieg Bop' and 'Teenage Lobotomy' are among the highlights, and guests include Dee Dee Ramone and Lemmy. An excellent package and a great tribute to a band who played an important part in rock’s history.
