NIGHTVISION 'Nightvision'
SPV/MTM SPVCD 085-64252 (2005)

With influences of the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Magnum much more melodic British metal, Nightvision produce a full sound with plenty of pomp to balance the crunching guitars. “Soldier Of A Dark Land” could easily be a heavily beefed up Magnum. There are elements of European speed metal, but very much at the melodic end And straight metal rather than operatic. But the vocals are clean, clear and solid, making for a good sound. In places the keyboards nod towards Jon Lord, but there’s also an occasional nod at Gillan era Colin Towns.

The music is good, but it’s not got the finness, making it hard to get into for me, but that’s a personal view. Should do OK.
