MUKUL Stray Black And White Records / Sony BMG 82867 78014-2 (2006)

What a mixture! This Indian artist mixes hip/hop and 21st Century blues. Opening track 'Ephemeral' is dark, broody and droning, and sets the pace. Indian music mixed with more and more, this mixes new world with urban.

The sounds from the drum machine are bright and programmed, causing earache quickly, and the music follows suit quickly.

Not for the faint hearted, and not for the rocker either, regardless of the conveyed message.

***** Out of this world | **** Pretty damn fine |
*** OK, approach with caution unless you are a fan |
** Instant bargain bin fodder | * Ugly. Just ugly
