This album originally saw the light of day back in 2001 but with the previous label, Rising Sun, going bust it never got a full release until now. Mind’s Eye feature the vocal talents of Andreas Novak (who has just released a solo album via MTM) and Therion’s Johan Niemann.

Musically the album veers from light progressive metal to the realms of melodic rock, mainly due to Novak’s silky smooth vocal lines. The album does falter slightly midway through although ‘These Open Eyes’ brings the album back on track. There are two bonus tracks on this release as well.

Musically you can’t fault it and if you like well played progressive metal/melodic rock it is well worth a listen. Even better news is that the band has a new studio album due soon as well, also through Lion Music.
