GREENHOUSE ‘Greenhouse’ SPV/MTM CD085-59922(2004)

Led by guitarist Lars Levin, Greenhouse also feature vocalist Solli, who has worked with 21 Guns and Psycho Motel.

A strong European hard rock / AOR sound, well polished and with some excellent guitar work, it’s a largely enjoyable set. Some tracks nod at the lighter end of U2, Whitesnake and Floyd, and Mike & Mechanics while others don’t really do a great deal.

The vocal harmonies are good, and guitar stands out. But Levin takes on bass and keyboards too, which don’t really stand out at all. Some nice tunes, but not much in the way of real bollocks.

**½
