EDWARD BOX Moonfudge Lion Music LMC184 (2006)

Guitarist Box (no relation to Heepster Mick) is a solid metal guitarist, inspired by the technical guitar explosion of the late 80s (Malmsteen, Satriani, Vai et al), with his roots with Lynch and Schenker.

10 instrumental songs, some solid 3 piece metal, some decent tunes and riffs, and technical without being too anal. 'Welcome To The Grindhouse' builds nicely and stands out, and 'Axis Of Evil' is good too. 'Hourglass' is more ballad, while 'Stanton's Stomp' is really versatile.

'Trailblazer' has more of a Maiden/Priest influence.

Well worth a listen.
